Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a leading provider specializing in last mile logistics and delivery services across the United States. With a strong reputation for efficient, reliable, and customer-oriented delivery solutions, Hub Group Final Mile serves a diverse clientele, including household appliance manufacturers and retailers. The company focuses on ensuring that products reach their final destination safely and on time, supporting customers through every step of the delivery and installation process. Hub Group Final Mile operates a unique model that heavily incorporates independent contractors and owner-operators, allowing for flexible work arrangements while maintaining professional service standards. Their emphasis on local deliveries keeps contractor teams home daily, striking a balance between work and personal life, which is highly valued among their workforce.
The current opportunity is for Non-CDL Independent Contractors who own, lease, or rent a 26-foot box truck with a liftgate and are interested in appliance delivery and installation services. This role is geared toward contractor teams who ideally have a driver-helper setup to cover both the driving and installation aspects effectively. The offer includes a gross weekly earning potential of up to $3,500 per truck, with payments settled weekly and deposited directly for convenience. Contractors have access to online settlements for transparency and ease of financial tracking.
This contractor role primarily revolves around appliance delivery and installation, which involves transporting household appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers, and other major home appliances to customers' residences. The contractor team is responsible not only for the delivery but also for the basic installation and setup of these appliances, adhering strictly to manufacturer instructions and specifications. This requires a combination of driving skill, familiarity with handling large items, and technical aptitude for appliance assembly and installation.
Hub Group Final Mile highly values professionalism and reliability, underscored by the requirement for a good driving record and valid driver’s licenses. Additionally, contractors must have or be willing to obtain necessary operating authority and DOT compliance to meet federal transportation standards. Hands-on experience as an appliance installer is preferred, but the company is also open to contractors willing to learn the trade through practical engagement.
Working with Hub Group Final Mile offers the chance to be part of a respected logistics network with the flexibility of an independent contractor role. It is suitable for motivated individuals or teams with their own vehicle equipment looking for a steady, well-compensated opportunity in the home appliance delivery sector. The position emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency as key pillars supporting the company’s continued growth and excellence in the last mile delivery market.
