Job Description

Hub Group Final Mile is a leading last-mile delivery service provider in the logistics industry, specializing in efficient and reliable final mile transportation solutions. This company is part of Hub Group, a major player in supply chain management, well-known for its commitment to customer service excellence and innovative delivery approaches. Hub Group Final Mile focuses on handling the critical last stage of delivery where products reach their final destination, ensuring timely and professional service to residential customers. Their expertise spans various types of cargo, with significant specialization in appliance delivery and installation, making them a trusted partner for brands and retailers nationwide.

The employment opportunity presented by Hub Group Final Mile is for Non-CDL Independent Contractors who operate with 26-foot box trucks equipped with lift gates. The position primarily centers around appliance delivery and installation, offering contractor teams the chance to manage local routes with the benefit of being home daily. This is a contractor role with gross earnings potential ranging from $3,000 to $4,500 per week per truck, making it a lucrative opportunity for those with the right equipment and skills.

As an Owner Operator or Independent Service Provider Driving Team, the selected candidates will be responsible for delivering household appliances such as refrigerators, dishwashers, microwaves, washers, dryers, and other similar devices directly to customers' homes. The role demands not only transportation skills but also practical installation abilities, including basic hookup and assembly tasks. Operating within this capacity, contractors must demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and the capability to follow detailed manufacturer installation instructions to ensure customer satisfaction.

The job stresses local delivery routes, which eliminates overnight travel and allows contractors to return home each night. Compensation is structured with weekly settlements and direct deposit options, supplemented by access to online settlement tracking for easy management and transparency of payments. The company values contractor independence, offering flexibility that independent teams appreciate while maintaining the standards expected in appliance installation and delivery services.

Contractors must either own, rent, or lease the required 26-foot box truck with a lift gate and ideally provide their own driver helper to efficiently handle two-person delivery teams. A personal set of tools is also required, highlighting the trade-oriented nature of the work. While prior experience as an appliance installer is preferred, the company welcomes individuals willing to learn the trade, creating opportunities for those eager to enter this field under the guidance of a reputable final mile logistics provider.

Hub Group Final Mile is committed to supporting its contractors with reliable pay structures, consistent work opportunities, and a supportive operational framework. This role suits motivated individuals or teams capable of performing both driving and installation duties with high standards of safety and quality. The position is ideal for those seeking a steady, home-based delivery route coupled with the chance to engage in skilled installation work, combining technical aptitude with logistics proficiency. By joining Hub Group Final Mile, contractors align themselves with a respected leader in last-mile delivery, gaining access to a sustainable and rewarding business model within the appliance delivery and installation niche.
