Job Description
Hub Group Final Mile is a prominent logistics company specializing in final mile delivery services across the United States. With a reputation built on efficiency, reliability, and professionalism, Hub Group Final Mile serves a broad spectrum of clients by ensuring timely delivery and installation of goods directly to consumers' homes. Known for its commitment to excellence, the company leverages its expansive network and experienced workforce to satisfy the complex needs of modern supply chains. This particular opportunity is based in Sun Prairie, WI, offering independent contractors a lucrative chance to partner with an established leader in the logistics field.
The role available is for Non-CDL Independent Contractors who own or lease a 26-foot box truck equipped with a liftgate, facilitating the safe and efficient handling of appliances during delivery and installation. Contractor teams are preferred to include a driver helper, which aids in maneuvering heavy appliances and ensures smooth delivery operations. The position offers a competitive gross weekly pay ranging from $3,600 to $5,400 per truck, with the added benefit of home daily routes, allowing contractors to maintain a balanced work-life schedule.
This position is ideal for those with experience or interest in appliance delivery and installation. Responsibilities include timely and accurate delivery of major home appliances such as refrigerators, microwave ovens, dishwashers, washers, and dryers. Alongside delivery duties, contractors will perform basic appliance installation tasks, requiring the use of a personal set of tools and the ability to follow manufacturer installation specifications closely. Additionally, the contractor team must be capable of maneuvering appliances with appropriate equipment or assistance, ensuring the safe transport and setup of goods in customers' homes.
Weekly settlements are an attractive benefit of this position, signifying consistent and reliable compensation managed through direct deposit. Contractors will also have access to online settlements, providing transparency and ease in managing payments and deliveries. This partnership is designed for Owner Operators or Independent Service Providers who are motivated by entrepreneurial flexibility but value the structure and support of a large freight network. Candidates are expected to maintain a valid driver’s license, have a good driving record, and possess or be willing to obtain an active MC Operating Authority and DOT number with FMCSA to comply with regulatory requirements.
By joining Hub Group Final Mile as a non-CDL contractor, professionals can enjoy local deliveries, a home-daily schedule, and the opportunity to grow their own business while benefiting from Hub Group’s industry expertise and logistical resources. This role not only provides a competitive earning potential but also enables a meaningful work experience for those who seek a hands-on, customer-facing delivery and installation career in the appliance sector.
