Job Requirements
- Experience with 26-foot box trucks or similarly sized vehicles
- Pass a DOT physical and criminal background check
- Clean driving record
- Operate vehicles in accordance with CompostNow safety rules, OSHA and DOT requirements, and local, state, and federal laws
- Commitment to safety
- Ability to start shifts at 2 am and availability for rotating Saturdays
- Desire a physically active working environment and willingness to work outside in all elements
- Responsible and able to work autonomously
- Strong communication skills
- Adaptability to change
- English proficiency for safety-critical communications
Job Qualifications
- Experience operating 26-foot box trucks or similar sized vehicles
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass DOT physical and criminal background check
- Ability to start shifts at 2 am and work rotating Saturdays
- Physical stamina and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Adaptability to changing operational procedures and a dynamic work environment
- Commitment to following safety rules including OSHA and DOT regulations
Job Duties
- Operate 26-foot box trucks on local routes servicing multiple commercial accounts
- Collect 35- and 64-gallon roll carts containing food waste leaving clean, empty carts behind
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety and vehicle inspections
- Weigh carts, record weights, and take detailed service notes
- Maintain clean and well-maintained vehicles throughout shifts
- Return to the warehouse to unload trucks at the end of routes
- Adapt to new operational updates including launching scaled composting and specialty recycling programs
- Communicate regularly and constructively with team members
- Ensure customer locations are free of debris following service
