Job Description

Golden Companies is a reputable, woman-owned business with a rich heritage dating back to 1904, marking it as a 5th generation family-owned moving and storage company. The company boasts a strong presence locally, nationally, and internationally, providing a range of moving and storage solutions with a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Being one of the longest-standing companies in the industry, Golden Companies has developed extensive expertise in handling relocations of all scales, ensuring secure and efficient service for their diverse clientele.

Located in Longmont, Colorado, the company operates with a focus on professionalism, safety, and reliability. Its deep roots in the community alongside a broad operational reach exemplify its trusted status in the moving and storage sector. Golden Companies is committed to maintaining high standards through a dedicated team and adherence to regulatory requirements, all while supporting an inclusive, equal opportunity work environment.

The role of a Driver at Golden Companies represents a pivotal position within the organization. This opportunity involves the safe operation of company vehicles with an emphasis on compliance with state, federal, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers are expected to be knowledgeable about various transportation regulations, including vehicle inspections, safety protocols, hours of service, and required documentation. The position also calls for hands-on involvement with the loading and unloading of cargo, making physical stamina and attention to detail key components of the work.

Candidates for this role will demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service, managing stressful situations effectively while working under tight schedules. The ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, bending, and twisting to handle boxes and furniture is essential. Drivers will work in variable environmental conditions, including both indoor and outdoor settings, some of which may be dusty or less sanitary.

Collaboration and teamwork are crucial in ensuring smooth operations every day. The role offers the chance to work within a well-established company that values safety, efficiency, and the well-being of its employees. While a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is considered a plus, a clean driving record and knowledge of transportation laws are fundamental requirements.

Golden Companies provides a supportive atmosphere encouraging professional growth and equal opportunities for all employees, including women, minorities, and individuals with disabilities. Prospective candidates are invited to submit their application materials, including resume, cover letter, and earnings history, demonstrating their interest and suitability for the driver position. With a longstanding reputation and commitment to excellence, Golden Companies offers a stable and rewarding employment experience in the moving and storage industry.
