This role is for a Local Driver, a vital part of TForce Freight’s logistics team. The position offers competitive starting wages between $33.90 and $34.65 per hour, coupled with an impressive $5,000 sign-on bonus. As the face of TForce Freight, the Local Driver plays a crucial role in presenting a professional and helpful demeanor to customers. The job requires diligent vehicle inspections, careful loading and securing of cargo, and strict adherence to federal, state, and local transportation and safety regulations. The driver must also maintain detailed logs regarding driving hours, routes, and cargo condition and communicate effectively with the dispatch team about schedules and any issues encountered on the road. Job Requirements

  • Complete 10 year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • valid class A Commercial Driver’s License
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • minimum age of 21 years
  • meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • able to perform job duties without risk of injury
  • proficient in English
  • legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in resident state
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • meet all DOT and company requirements
  • safely perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • strong organizational and time managements skills

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
