TForce Freight is currently looking to expand its team by hiring a Local Driver who will play a critical role in the day-to-day operations of freight delivery. This position is ideal for an individual who is motivated by safety, efficiency, and outstanding customer service. The Local Driver will be responsible for the safe operation of a tractor and trailer, guaranteeing that freight is transported and delivered accurately and on schedule to TForce Freight’s valued customers. Beyond driving duties, this role requires an individual who can represent the company positively, embodying professionalism and a helpful attitude in every customer interaction. This opportunity offers a competitive pay rate of $35.30 per hour, with overtime pay applicable after eight hours. In addition, new hires will receive a $3,000 signing bonus and benefit from a company-paid pension plan, nine paid company holidays, and affordable family medical plans, with free individual medical plans also available.

Day-to-day responsibilities include operating commercial vehicles safely and efficiently, ensuring proper loading and securing of cargo, providing prompt and courteous service to customers, completing necessary pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and complying with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. The chosen candidate will also maintain detailed logs of driving hours and routes, communicate effectively with dispatch management regarding any schedule changes or delays, and uphold the strict safety standards that TForce Freight is known for. Job Requirements

  • valid class a commercial driver’s license (cdl) in resident state
  • 21 years of age
  • meet all dot and company requirements
  • able to read, write and speak the english language
  • u.s. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the u.s.

Job Duties

  • operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
