TForce Freight is currently seeking to expand its team by hiring a Local Driver. This role is integral to the organization’s mission of offering exceptional freight transportation services. The Local Driver will operate tractor-trailers within designated local routes to safely and efficiently transport goods to customers, maintaining the high standards of customer service and professionalism that the company is known for. The position offers competitive wages starting at $33.90 per hour, with overtime pay applicable after eight hours. As a Local Driver, candidates will be expected to uphold TForce Freight’s commitment to safety and customer satisfaction. This includes performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, ensuring the secure loading of all cargo, and complying with all local, state, and federal regulations related to transportation and safety. Effective communication with dispatch and management is essential to navigate scheduling, address potential delays, and resolve any issues during transport. The Local Driver will be the face of TForce Freight in the communities they serve, interacting directly with customers and representing the company with professionalism, courtesy, and a helpful attitude.
This role requires applicants to have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, and doubles, as well as a clean and complete employment history consistent with FMCSA regulations. The ideal candidate should be at least 21 years old, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements. Exceptional customer service skills, the ability to perform essential job functions safely without risk of injury, and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English are necessary for success in this position. U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S. is required.

Job Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
- ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
- provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
- perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
- adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
- maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
- communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
