The company specializes in handling various types of freight shipments such as palletized and heavy LTL loads, ensuring efficient and reliable service across borders with advanced tracking technologies. Known for its commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, TForce Freight is recognized as a leading player in the freight and logistics industry, consistently striving to enhance its operational standards and expand its service capabilities.
TForce Freight is currently expanding its team and offering a rewarding opportunity for a Local Driver to join their growing logistics division. This is a full-time role with an attractive starting wage ranging from $31.00 to $34.65 per hour, along with an excellent benefits package including a company-paid pension plan, 401K, paid time off, and family medical plans with low monthly premiums. The employment offers stability and growth potential within a well-established and dynamic company.
As a Local Driver for TForce Freight, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor and trailer to deliver freight efficiently and accurately to various customer locations. The role requires a highly safety-conscious and customer-focused individual who can uphold the company’s reputation by consistently providing excellent service and maintaining a professional approach. You will act as the face of TForce Freight to customers, ensuring timely deliveries and addressing any inquiries or concerns with a positive attitude.
The Local Driver position encompasses a range of vital duties from handling freight securely and performing essential vehicle inspections before and after trips, to maintaining compliance with all applicable transportation regulations at the local, state, and federal levels. Strong communication skills will be critical as you coordinate with dispatch management for scheduling and handling any issues that arise during transportation. Additionally, maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo conditions is an essential part of this role to ensure regulatory compliance and operational transparency.
Ideal candidates for this role will hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for Hazmat, tanker, and doubles, and must be at least 21 years of age. You will be expected to meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements, safely perform job functions without risk to yourself or your coworkers, and have strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in English for reading, writing, and communication is necessary, along with legal authorization to work in the United States.
By joining the TForce Freight team, you will benefit from a supportive work environment that values your contributions and offers opportunities for career advancement. The comprehensive benefits package, including nine paid company holidays, free individual medical plans, and a low-cost family medical plan, reflects the company’s commitment to employee well-being and job satisfaction. If you have a positive, customer-focused attitude and excellent communication skills, this is an excellent chance to grow your career with a respected freight carrier at the forefront of the logistics industry.
