The company is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their growing team as Local Drivers. This role is integral to their logistics operations and offers an opportunity to grow within a dynamic and expanding company. The Local Driver will be tasked with the safe and timely transportation of goods using tractor-trailers to various local destinations. This position demands a professional and customer-focused attitude as drivers serve as the face of TForce Freight, ensuring excellent service and a positive interaction with customers. The pay rate for this position is competitive, starting at $31.00 per hour with overtime eligibility after eight hours, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing its employees. In addition to delivering freight, the Local Driver's responsibilities include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and cargo status, and adhering to all transportation regulations and safety protocols mandated by local, state, and federal authorities. Applicants must demonstrate impeccable customer service skills and meet various qualifications such as possessing a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements, being at least 21 years of age, and fulfilling all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements. Strong organizational and time management skills are essential for success in this role, along with the ability to communicate effectively in English and be authorized to work in the United States.

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
