The role of a Local Driver at TForce Freight is integral to the company’s mission of delivering goods safely, efficiently, and reliably. As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a tractor and trailer, managing freight shipments and ensuring deliveries are completed on schedule. Your duties will include loading and securing cargo properly, performing mandatory vehicle inspections, and adhering to all pertinent transportation regulations including local, state, and federal laws. Beyond driving, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with the dispatch team regarding schedules, delays, or any unforeseen issues to ensure continuous service quality. Successful candidates will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with relevant endorsements such as hazardous materials, tanker, and doubles endorsements. Job Duties

  • operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
