Job Description

TForce Freight is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier operating throughout North America as a subsidiary of TFI International. With more than 178 service centers strategically located across the continent, TForce Freight specializes in transporting a wide variety of shipments including palletized goods and heavy LTL loads. Their expansive service offerings include regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation, as well as cross-border freight services. Known for integrating advanced tracking technology, TForce Freight ensures that logistics and freight delivery solutions are executed with precision and efficiency, making them a trusted partner within the industry. Their commitment to quality service, safety, and customer satisfaction continues to drive their growth and presence in the freight and logistics market.

The company is currently seeking dedicated individuals to join their growing team as Local Drivers. This role involves operating tractors and trailers to deliver goods securely and on schedule to customers. The Local Driver is the face of TForce Freight, embodying the company’s customer-focused ethic while maintaining the utmost professionalism and safety standards at all times. Employees in this role can expect competitive pay, starting at $29.00 per hour with overtime pay accruing after 8 hours of work each day. Additionally, TForce Freight offers a robust benefits package that includes a company-paid pension plan, nine company-paid holidays, family medical plans with low monthly premiums, and free individual medical plans—demonstrating their comprehensive approach to employee welfare and satisfaction.

As a Local Driver at TForce Freight, you will be responsible not only for driving but also for performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with all transportation regulations. You will communicate regularly with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and handle any challenges that arise during routes. Beyond transportation duties, you will provide superior customer service by ensuring accurate, timely deliveries and addressing any customer questions or concerns on site. The position requires adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) and company rules, and maintaining precise driver logs for route and cargo documentation.

Joining TForce Freight as a Local Driver offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about logistics and freight transportation who thrive in a customer-service-oriented environment. This role suits professionals who value safety, accountability, and teamwork and who seek to contribute positively to one of North America's foremost logistics providers.
