The company operates over 178 service centers, providing regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation solutions. TForce Freight also offers cross-border shipping services enhanced by advanced tracking technology, ensuring customers are always aware of their shipments' status. With a focus on safety, customer service, and technological innovation, TForce Freight continues to be a leader in the LTL freight industry, committed to delivering superior service and fostering a positive work environment for its employees.
TForce Freight is currently seeking to expand its growing team by hiring a Local Driver, a critical role within the company’s logistics operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a positive, customer-focused attitude and strong communication skills to advance their careers in the transportation industry. The Local Driver is entrusted with the responsibility of safely operating a tractor and trailer to deliver freight efficiently and on schedule to customers throughout the local region. This role is essential for maintaining the company's commitment to timely and secure freight delivery while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
As a Local Driver at TForce Freight, you will be the face of the company in front of customers, delivering more than just freight—you deliver professionalism and outstanding service. The role demands adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations concerning commercial transportation along with strict compliance with safety protocols. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure everything is in order, documenting any maintenance concerns to prevent service disruptions. In addition to driving duties, you will be responsible for loading and securing cargo correctly to avoid damage and ensure safe transport. Maintaining accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo conditions is a vital part of your duty to support regulatory compliance and operational transparency.
The Local Driver must also have excellent coordination with dispatch and management teams, communicating schedules, potential delays, or any issues that come up during the delivery process. TForce Freight recognizes and rewards reliable drivers with competitive wages, benefits including pension plans, 401K options, paid time off, and more, reflecting the company’s commitment to employee well-being and career growth. This role requires a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with relevant endorsements, a good safety record, and the ability to pass federal and company-specific requirements. If you are a dedicated, safety-conscious driver looking for a stable and rewarding career path, TForce Freight offers a supportive team environment with opportunities to grow within a leading logistics company.
