As a Local Driver, you will act as the face of TForce Freight, delivering exceptional customer service by ensuring that freight is delivered on time and with the highest level of professionalism. The role requires diligently performing inspections on vehicles before and after trips to ensure operational safety and compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations. Additionally, the Local Driver must maintain accurate documentation related to driving hours, routes, and cargo conditions to adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.

Job Requirements

  • Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • hazmat endorsement
  • tanker endorsement
  • doubles endorsement
  • minimum age of 21 years
  • meet all DOT and company safety requirements
  • ability to perform essential job functions safely
  • proficiency in English language
  • legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) in resident state
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • meet all DOT and company requirements

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
