As a Local Driver, you will be the face of TForce Freight, tasked with the safe and accurate delivery of freight within local regions. Your responsibilities will encompass the operation of tractor-trailers to transport goods to various destinations ensuring cargo is properly loaded and secure for transit. The position emphasizes safety, punctuality, and customer service, requiring drivers to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, comply with all transport regulations, and maintain precise logs of driving hours and cargo conditions. Your role is critical in building customer trust and satisfaction by addressing inquiries and concerns professionally, and communicating effectively with dispatch teams to manage schedules and resolve any transportation issues. Job Requirements

  • Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Ability to perform job functions safely without risk of injury
  • Proficiency in English language
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Complete 10 year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) in resident state
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • Meet all DOT and company requirements
  • Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong organizational and time managements skills

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
