Job Description
TForce Freight is a leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carrier operating extensively throughout North America. As a subsidiary of TFI International, the company is recognized for its comprehensive transportation and logistics services that cater to a wide variety of shipment types including palletized and heavy LTL loads. With an expansive network of over 178 service centers, TForce Freight offers regional, interregional, and long-haul transportation services. Additionally, the company provides cross-border logistics options supported by advanced tracking technologies designed to enhance shipment visibility and customer satisfaction. TForce Freight prides itself on its commitment to safety, timely delivery, and superior customer service, making it a trusted partner in the freight industry.
TForce Freight is currently seeking motivated individuals to join their growing team as Local Drivers. This role is vital to the operation, focusing on the safe and efficient transportation of goods using commercial vehicles. The Local Driver acts as the frontline representative of TForce Freight, delivering not just goods but also a positive and professional customer experience. The position offers excellent starting wages beginning at $31 per hour and can increase to $35.35 within 24 months, reflecting performance and tenure. Employment with TForce Freight includes competitive benefits such as company-paid pension plans, a 401K option, paid time off, and nine paid holidays. Health care offerings are flexible with a free health care option for individuals and up to $150 allowance for family plans.
The ideal Local Driver candidate will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued in their resident state, including hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements. Candidates must be at least 21 years old and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company-specific criteria. Excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-focused attitude are key to success in this role. This position requires adherence to all local, state, and federal transport regulations, safe operation protocols, and thorough maintenance and inspection of the vehicle before and after trips. Drivers will maintain accurate logs of driving hours, routes, and cargo conditions while keeping close communication with dispatch to ensure on-time delivery and the resolution of any issues during transit.
TForce Freight believes in supporting its employees through clear career growth opportunities, competitive pay structures, and comprehensive benefit packages. If you have a proven track record of impeccable customer service and commitment to safety, this is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable and expanding freight company that values its drivers and invests in their success.
