The Local Driver will be the face of TForce Freight at delivery points, expected to uphold the company’s reputation by displaying a positive, helpful, and professional attitude. Key duties include ensuring all cargo is properly loaded and secured, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and maintaining precise logs of driving hours and cargo conditions to comply with all transportation regulations. The role also requires clear communication with the dispatch management team to report any issues or delays promptly. TForce Freight values candidates who meet stringent DOT and company safety standards, hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, and possess specialized endorsements like Hazmat, tanker, and doubles. Job Requirements

  • Complete 10 year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations
  • valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • minimum age of 21 years
  • meet all DOT and company safety requirements
  • able to perform job functions safely without risk of injury
  • able to read, write and speak English
  • authorized to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • valid class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in resident state
  • hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • meet all DOT and company requirements
  • safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
