TForce Freight is committed to delivering outstanding service through its dedicated team of professionals who embody a positive and customer-focused approach. The company values safety, professionalism, and innovation, making it a prominent player in the logistics and freight industry.
We are currently seeking to expand our dynamic logistics team by hiring a Local Driver who will play an essential role in our daily operations. This position offers a competitive starting rate of $30.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package including pension, 401K, paid time off, and other excellent benefits designed to support your career growth and personal well-being. The role of the local driver is critical to TForce Freight's mission as the driver represents the face of the company on the road and at customer delivery points.
As a Local Driver at TForce Freight, you will be responsible for the safe operation of a tractor-trailer combination to transport freight within a designated local area. Your duties will include careful loading and securing of cargo, adhering strictly to safety and transportation regulations at the local, state, and federal levels, and performing thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining clear communication with both customers and dispatch management will be vital aspects of your day-to-day responsibilities. This role requires more than just driving skills; it requires a commitment to impeccable customer service, reliability, and safety to maintain TForce Freight's standards of excellence.
The ideal candidate will hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License with hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements, meet all Department of Transportation and company requirements, and possess at least 21 years of age. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively are important for success in this role. Furthermore, candidates must be able to read, write, and speak English proficiently and be authorized to work in the United States. Upon hiring, it is crucial that drivers provide a complete 10-year employment history in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
Joining TForce Freight means becoming part of a company that invests in its employees through competitive wages, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. If you have a positive customer-focused attitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and professionalism, we encourage you to apply and grow your career with TForce Freight. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to work in a challenging and fast-paced logistics environment while representing one of North America’s most respected freight carriers.
