TForce Freight is currently seeking a dependable and customer-oriented Local Driver to join its growing logistics team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight to customers, maintaining the high standards the company is known for. The Local Driver will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles, managing cargo securely, and providing exceptional service with a professional and positive attitude. The Local Driver will act as the face of TForce Freight to customers, requiring not only excellent driving skills but also strong communication abilities and a customer-focused mindset. Duties include performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, adhering strictly to transportation regulations, keeping accurate logs, and collaborating closely with dispatch teams. Candidates must provide a complete 10-year employment history in compliance with FMCSA regulations, underscoring the company’s emphasis on safety and regulatory adherence.

Job Requirements

  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • Meet all DOT and company requirements
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Able to read, write and speak English
  • Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • Provide a complete 10 year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
