The role of a Local Driver at TForce Freight is pivotal to the company’s operations. This position involves the safe and efficient operation of a tractor and trailer to deliver freight to customers punctually and with care. The Local Driver acts as the face of TForce Freight’s logistic services, ensuring that every delivery reflects the company’s commitment to professionalism and customer satisfaction. Drivers must maintain exceptional customer service skills, communicate effectively with dispatch teams, and follow all company policies and safety regulations strictly.

As a Local Driver, responsibilities include conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, securing cargo properly, maintaining accurate logs of driving hours and routes, and responding promptly to customer inquiries and concerns. Drivers must adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and regulations, including FMCSA requirements, ensuring compliance in every delivery cycle. This role demands a high level of responsibility, safety awareness, attention to detail, and organizational skills to manage time effectively and meet tight schedules. Job Requirements

  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all DOT and company requirements
  • Ability to perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.

Job Qualifications

  • Impeccable customer service and dedication
  • Valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in resident state
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • 21 years of age
  • Meet all DOT and company requirements
  • Able to read, write and speak the English language
  • U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
