The Local Driver role at TForce Freight is a critical position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of freight to customers within a local area. This role requires operating a tractor and trailer, ensuring cargo is securely loaded, and adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines. Candidates for this role will be the face of the company, interacting with customers and maintaining the professionalism and reliability that defines TForce Freight. The position offers an attractive hourly wage ranging from $30.00 to $34.65, reflecting the value placed on experienced and dependable drivers. Successful candidates will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for hazmat, tanker, and doubles, and must be able to uphold DOT regulations strictly while performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections of their vehicles. In addition to driving duties, the Local Driver must manage accurate transportation logs, communicate effectively with dispatch teams, and provide outstanding customer service throughout the delivery process. TForce Freight is seeking individuals who possess strong organizational skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Prospective applicants should be at least 21 years old, authorized to work in the United States, and able to present a 10-year employment history in compliance with FMCSA standards. Job Requirements

  • Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL)
  • Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
  • Ability to perform job functions safely without risk of injury
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • U.S. citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Complete 10-year employment history in accordance with FMCSA regulations

Job Duties

  • Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
