The Local Driver position at TForce Freight offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing logistics team focused on excellence in freight handling and delivery. Local Drivers play a critical role by operating commercial vehicles to transport freight safely and efficiently to various destinations within the local area. The role demands a strong customer-focused attitude combined with impeccable communication skills, as the driver represents the company in every interaction with clients.
In this position, drivers are expected to maintain adherence to strict safety and transportation regulations at local, state, and federal levels, including compliance with the Department of Transportation and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) standards. They are responsible for loading and securing cargo properly, performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and accurately maintaining logs for driving hours, routes, and cargo conditions. Effective communication with dispatch and management teams is essential to coordinate schedules, report any complications like delays, and ensure a smooth logistics operation.

Job Requirements
- Valid class A commercial driver’s license (CDL) in resident state
- Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
- At least 21 years of age
- Meet all DOT and company requirements
- Ability to perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong organizational and time management skills

Job Duties
- Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
- Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
- Adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
- Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
