TForce Freight is currently seeking dedicated and professional Local Drivers to join its growing logistics team. This role is integral in maintaining the company’s commitment to safety, customer service, and operational excellence. As a Local Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight within your service area, acting as the frontline representative of TForce Freight. Your primary mission will be to deliver goods securely while providing outstanding customer interaction and support. Employing a safety-first approach, the Local Driver will operate tractor-trailers and ensure all cargo is properly loaded, secured, and transported according to regulatory standards. A complete 10-year employment history is required as part of compliance with FMCSA regulations, underlining the importance of a well-documented professional background. The Local Driver is expected to handle pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate driving logs, and effectively communicate with dispatch and management regarding schedules, vehicle status, and any operational issues.

This position is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organized, and possess strong time management skills. Candidates must hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with hazmat, tanker, and doubles endorsements and meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company requirements. Additionally, excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential for success in this role. Job Duties

  • operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods to various locations safely and efficiently
  • ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure
  • provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling any customer inquiries or concerns
  • perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs
  • adhere to all local, state and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols
  • maintain accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled and cargo conditions
  • communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays and any issues that may arise during transportation
