The role of Delivery Driver at Edward Don & Company is a critical position responsible for ensuring that merchandise reaches customers within expected time frames, maintaining the company’s high standards for service and accuracy. This position involves driving a commercial vehicle along predetermined routes from Monday to Friday, usually covering between 15-30 delivery stops per day. The shifts typically last between 9 to 11 hours, starting early in the morning between 5:45 and 6:30 am and ending between 2:15 and 3:00 pm. Employees in this role can expect an initial pay of $21.73 per hour with the potential for additional pay increases every six months over a three-year period, reflecting the company’s commitment to rewarding reliability and performance.

Job Requirements
- High school or equivalent
- One or more years of safe commercial driving experience
- Class A or B CDL
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to problem solve and prioritize work
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain current DOT medical certification and comply with all DOT regulations
- Ability to bend stoop climb twist stand and lift between 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading delivery truck at each stop
- Ability to sit and drive for extended periods
Job Qualifications
- High school or GED or equivalent
- One-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- Valid commercial driver’s license - class B (class A preferred)
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions
- Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company
- Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
- Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills
- Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
- Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures
- Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing safety and customer relations

Job Duties
- Deliver merchandise according to pre-determined route
- Unload correct merchandise and check order noting any corrections
- Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day
- Communicate with manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day
- Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization
- Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations
- Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to company and OSHA standards
- Effectively communicate to customers and all levels of staff
- Perform other duties as assigned
