Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent
  • One or more years of safe commercial driving experience
  • Class A or B CDL
  • Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to problem solve and prioritize work
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to maintain current DOT medical certification and comply with all DOT regulations
  • Ability to bend stoop climb twist stand and lift between 60-100 lbs while loading and unloading delivery truck at each stop
  • Ability to sit and drive for extended periods

Job Qualifications

  • High school or GED or equivalent
  • One-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
  • Valid commercial driver’s license - class B (class A preferred)
  • Must be able to read and understand English
  • Operate vehicle in a variety of traffic and weather conditions
  • Meet or exceed minimum productivity levels established by the company
  • Meet or exceed established cases per error goals
  • Demonstrate strong customer relations and problem resolution skills
  • Effectively plan and organize work activities independent of direct supervision
  • Develop a good working knowledge of product and inventory control techniques and procedures
  • Maintain ongoing inter-department communications related to routing safety and customer relations
  • Proven ability to communicate articulately and perform simple arithmetic

Job Duties

  • Deliver merchandise according to pre-determined route
  • Unload correct merchandise and check order noting any corrections
  • Complete all assigned reports and paperwork at the end of the day
  • Communicate with manager any system or documentation problems identified throughout the day
  • Pick-up returned merchandise per return authorization
  • Comply with all DOT safety and documentation regulations
  • Perform safety and housekeeping duties as they pertain to company and OSHA standards
  • Effectively communicate to customers and all levels of staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
