Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a distinguished leader in the supply of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, along with hardgoods and related products across the United States. Known as one of the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and a top supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals, Airgas is committed to fostering a culture centered on safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. With a workforce comprising approximately 18,000 passionate associates, the company empowers its employees to share ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions that drive the company forward. Airgas is a proud subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, operating in 60 countries with around 66,500 employees and servicing over 4 million customers and patients worldwide.

Joining Airgas means becoming part of a dynamic workplace where your contributions are valued and your growth supported. In the role of Local Delivery Driver in Amarillo, TX, you will be an essential ambassador for the company, responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional customers. Operating company-provided straight or box trucks from a branch or plant, you will manage cylinder flow efficiently while building lasting relationships with the customers you serve. This position offers a Monday to Friday day shift schedule, with competitive pay starting at $25 per hour and potential bonuses. Airgas supports work-life balance and provides a supportive professional team environment where you can thrive and find advancement opportunities.

The role includes ensuring the adherence to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and compliance with government regulations such as those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. As a delivery driver, handling responsibilities extend beyond transportation – you will also assist in warehouse and dock operations when needed. Airgas offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, as well as up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits, retirement plans with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, all starting after just 30 days of employment. This role is ideal for individuals who meet the qualification requirements, including possession of a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat and Airbrake certifications, a clean driving record, and the physical ability to lift substantial weights safely while handling hazardous materials.

Working at Airgas provides the opportunity to return home daily, progress in your career in a culture that prioritizes safety, and enjoy comprehensive benefits designed to support you and your family’s overall wellbeing. If you value diversity and inclusion, Airgas’s dedication to embracing all employees' backgrounds and perspectives ensures a welcoming environment where you can truly fill your potential while contributing to the company’s success.
