The company is currently hiring for a Local Delivery Driver (CDL with Hazmat) based in Wichita, KS - West Retail shop. This position offers a competitive hourly wage of $28 with potential quarterly bonuses, a Monday through Friday day shift schedule, and a comprehensive benefits package that supports employees and their families from day one. As a Local Delivery Driver and Service & Delivery Professional, your primary responsibility will be the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to various local and regional business partners using company-provided vehicles.

The role demands a professional who takes pride in managing the flow of cylinders, accurately documenting deliveries and collections, and maintaining compliance with Airgas’s stringent safety standards (SAFECOR) as well as government regulations from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. Beyond delivery, you will assist with warehouse tasks when needed, contributing to the smooth operation of the branch. This position requires physical stamina to handle cylinder loading and unloading safely and the ability to work independently while meeting strict deadlines.

The ideal candidate must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, a valid Medical Examiner's Card, and Hazmat and Airbrake certifications (with Hazmat certification obtainable after offer). Candidates are required to have at least one year of professional driving experience within the last five years and maintain a clean driving record. The ability to read and understand material safety data sheets and the capacity to lift between 25 and over 125 pounds with aid are essential. Flexibility to work occasional overtime, obtain forklift certification, and drive hazardous cargo safely for extended periods is necessary.
