Job Requirements
- Must have valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications are required or must be obtained after offer
- Minimum of one year professional driving experience within the last five years
- Clean driving record with limited convictions or accidents
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to read and comprehend safety data sheets
- Capable of routinely lifting 25 to 75 lbs and occasionally lifting over 125 lbs with assistance
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo safely for extended periods
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to obtain forklift certification
- Willingness to work occasional overtime
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications (Hazmat certification can be obtained after offer)
- One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years
- Clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years or a combination thereof
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs and occasionally lift over 125 lbs with material handling equipment
- Forklift operator certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Must be at least 21 years old
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests, obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to the plant or branch
- Adhere to Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide warehouse support and assistance on the dock as needed
