With a dedicated workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas upholds a strong culture emphasizing safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. The organization fosters an environment where employees are empowered to share ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions within a supportive and inclusive workplace.

The Local Delivery Driver position in San Jose, CA at Airgas offers candidates with a Class A or B CDL license complemented by a Hazmat endorsement a competitive pay rate and meaningful career opportunities. This role is critical in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to both external customers and internal locations, operating company-provided trucks such as straight or box trucks. Drivers are responsible for the entire flow management of cylinders from load to delivery while actively building strong, long-term customer relationships. As an Airgas Delivery Driver and Service Professional, you will be a vital ambassador reflecting Airgas' core values, including respect, honor, and valuing diversity within the workforce. The position features comprehensive benefits starting after just 30 days of employment, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance, alongside unforeseen parental leave opportunities and a strong retirement plan with company match. Safety compliance is vastly important, with mandated adherence to regulations from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. The company also supports employee advancement and internal mobility within a positive, inclusive work culture. Candidates must hold a valid CDL with Hazmat endorsements and demonstrate a commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service excellence.

This role provides more than just a job—it offers a pathway for growth, empowerment, and the chance to be part of a forward-thinking leader in industrial gas distribution. The successful candidate can expect a respectful, engaging workplace that values unique perspectives and encourages continued learning and development.
