Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have a clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last three years
- Must have valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement
- Must hold a valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Ability to lift heavy materials routinely
- Must be able to work under some pressure and independently
- Must obtain forklift operator certification
- Willing to work occasional overtime
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat Endorsement and Airbrake certification
- One year of prior Class B professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with material handling equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Forklift operator certification or ability to obtain it
- Ability to work occasional overtime if necessary
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pickups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
