Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases along with hardgoods and related products. Known as one of the largest U.S. providers of safety products and a key supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals, Airgas fosters a workplace culture rooted in safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. Employing approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas encourages team members to share ideas, take initiatives, and make decisions that positively impact customer satisfaction and operational excellence. As part of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare serving over 4 million customers worldwide, Airgas is positioned to offer stable, long-term career opportunities for those seeking professional growth in a supportive and diverse environment.

This particular opportunity is for a Local Delivery Driver position based in Wichita, KS, at the West Retail Shop location. The role is full-time, typically Monday through Friday during the day shift, offering a competitive hourly wage of $28 plus the potential for quarterly bonuses. The delivery professional will manage the flow of cylinders, maintain precise records of deliveries and pickups, and foster lasting relationships with customers through dependable service.

Beyond the core responsibilities of delivery and logistics, this role also includes supporting warehouse operations when needed. The company places a high priority on the health and safety of its employees, committing to Airgas safety standards and adherence to federal regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA guidelines. Employees in this role can expect a supportive team environment that values personal growth, internal mobility, and work-life balance. The company offers comprehensive family benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance with benefits starting after just 30 days of employment. Additional support for parents such as a 14-week paid childbirth benefit highlights Airgas' commitment to its workforce. Employees have access to a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching funds, tuition assistance programs, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, making this an attractive career option for those looking for stability and advancement.

In joining Airgas as a Local Delivery Driver, candidates can look forward to working with a top-tier company that rewards reliability and professionalism, allowing drivers to return home daily and further their careers within a large, innovative industrial gas supply network. The inclusive workplace culture respects and values diversity, creating a welcoming environment for individuals from all backgrounds. This role is well-suited for individuals possessing a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement, medical examiner's card, and a clean driving record who can confidently handle heavy lifting and operate forklift equipment.
