This position is for a Local Delivery Driver based in San Francisco, CA, specializing in filling industrial compressed gas cylinders. Operating within the local and regional areas, the driver will manage delivery routes from an Airgas branch or plant using company-provided straight or box trucks. This is a full-time position with a Monday to Friday schedule from 6 AM to 5 PM, offering competitive hourly pay rates – $36.00 per hour for CDL A license holders and $34.00 per hour for CDL B license holders. Additional earnings potential comes from monthly bonuses, and new hires are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments, as well as a $500 employee referral bonus.
As an Airgas Delivery Driver, you will be an ambassador of the company, responsible for the safe and efficient handling of compressed gas cylinders. The role demands adherence to strict safety protocols such as SAFECOR and compliance with government regulations from multiple agencies including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA. The driver will maintain accurate records of deliveries and pick-ups and engage in customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with business partners. Besides delivery duties, the role may require occasional support in the warehouse or dock area.

Job Requirements
- Valid class a or b cdl with hazmat and airbrake endorsements
- Hazmat is required
- Maintain appropriate driver’s license, medical card and endorsements
- No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No driving under the influence within last seven years
- Must be able to work in a drug-free environment
- Able to regularly lift 75lbs and move more than 125lbs with material handling equipment
- Minimum of 1 year CDL driving experience in last 5 years or certificate of trucking school completion within 12 months
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL or B CDL with HAZMAT and airbrake endorsements
- Hazmat certification is required
- Must maintain current driver’s license, medical card, and endorsements
- No more than two traffic convictions or two at-fault accidents in the past three years
- No driving under the influence in the past seven years
- Ability to work in a drug-free environment
- Physical capability to regularly lift 75 lbs and move more than 125 lbs with handling equipment
- At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the last 5 years or a recent trucking school completion certificate
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling
- Follow all Airgas safety standards and comply with DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA regulations
- Provide warehouse or dock support as needed
