Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading U.S. supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, as well as hardgoods and related products. It ranks among the largest U.S. suppliers of safety products and is a prominent supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals. With a dedicated team of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a culture grounded in safety, sustainability, innovation, and customer success. As part of the Air Liquide group— a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare present in 60 countries with around 66,500 employees— Airgas benefits from extensive resources and a global vision. Airgas values and empowers its employees by encouraging idea sharing, taking initiative, making decisions, and growing careers within a supportive and inclusive environment.

The Local Delivery Driver position at Airgas in San Francisco, CA, offers an excellent opportunity for professional drivers who hold a CDL A or B license with Hazmat and Airbrake endorsements. This full-time role, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 6 am to 5 pm, pays $36.00 per hour for CDL A holders and $34.00 per hour for CDL B holders, with additional potential monthly bonuses, a $3000 sign-on bonus (paid in two installments), and a $500 referral bonus. The role is essential in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to both local and regional business partners. Operating company-provided straight or box trucks from Airgas branches or plant locations, drivers manage the flow of cylinders while building and maintaining strong customer relationships. This role requires a keen focus on safety, compliance with DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA regulations, and the ability to lift and handle heavy cylinders safely.

Airgas offers a comprehensive benefits package designed to support the whole life of its employees, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. Additional family-friendly benefits include up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefit, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching funds, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick leave. Benefits eligibility begins after just 30 days of employment, underscoring Airgas' commitment to supporting its workforce promptly. This position is ideal for candidates who seek stable employment with a company that values diversity, safety, personal growth, excellence, and work-life balance. Airgas prides itself on an inclusive workplace that respects and values diverse perspectives, cultures, and backgrounds, fueling innovation and collaboration.

Joining Airgas means becoming part of a company that not only supplies essential products to industries and healthcare but also invests in its people. This role offers professional development opportunities and the chance to make a valuable impact by safely delivering critical materials that keep businesses running. Airgas encourages employees to bring their whole selves to work in a respectful environment that promotes equality and opportunities for everyone, regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic. This is a unique opportunity to work with a recognized leader in the industrial gas supply sector and to grow your career as a Local Delivery Driver within a forward-thinking company known for its strong safety culture and customer-driven service excellence.
