Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Must hold a valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat certification can be obtained post-offer
- Must have at least one year of professional driving experience in the last five years or a diploma from an accredited driving school plus experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets
- Physical ability to lift 25 to 75 lbs routinely and up to 125 lbs occasionally with equipment
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for 8 hours
- Must be able to work independently and handle pressure
- Must obtain forklift operator certification
- Must be able to work occasional overtime
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat and Airbrake certifications
- One year of prior Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 lbs and occasionally lift more than 125 pounds with equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Forklift operator certification
- Ability to work occasional overtime
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to both external and internal customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures for receipt
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to a plant or branch for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
