With around 18,000 associates nationwide and supported by the global presence of Air Liquide, a world leader in gases and technologies operating in 60 countries with 66,500 employees, Airgas combines local expertise with global resources to serve over 4 million customers and patients. This unique partnership presents employees with an opportunity to grow in a vibrant, inclusive workplace culture that values diverse backgrounds and fosters innovation.
Located in Dundalk, Maryland, the Local Delivery Driver role at Airgas's Filling Industrial branch is a vital position responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of compressed gas cylinders to a variety of business partners within the local and regional area. This position operates Monday through Friday during the day shift, offering a pay range of $32 to $34 per hour alongside the potential for a quarterly bonus. The delivery driver position is a full-time opportunity that features a comprehensive family-oriented benefits package designed to support employees throughout their personal and professional lives. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, accident, and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, sick time, and parental leave, including a 14-week paid childbirth benefit for growing families.
The Local Delivery Driver represents an ambassador for Airgas, embodying the company’s commitment to safety, customer service, and reliability. Using Airgas-provided trucks, drivers handle the loading, transportation, delivery, and unloading of compressed gas cylinders while maintaining strict compliance with federal and company safety standards, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA regulations. Accurate record-keeping is essential for this role, as drivers must document deliveries and pickups via load manifests and obtain customer signatures to ensure accountability. Drivers also collect empty or unsold cylinders and return them to facilities for refilling or reuse. Additionally, the role supports warehouse functions and dock operations when necessary, fostering collaboration with other team members.
