Job Description

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is a leading supplier of industrial, medical, and specialty gases, along with hardgoods and related products in the United States. As one of the largest providers of safety products and a major supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals, Airgas operates with a strong commitment to safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. With a diverse workforce of approximately 18,000 associates, Airgas fosters a culture where innovation and respect for diversity drive the company forward. Airgas is a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, operating in 60 countries with around 66,500 employees serving more than 4 million customers and patients worldwide.

This role, based at the Airgas retail shop in Grand Prairie, TX, is for a Local Delivery Driver holding a valid Texas Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat certification. The delivery driver serves as an ambassador for Airgas, responsible for the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business partners. The position demands a professional who can manage cylinder flow efficiently while building and maintaining lasting relationships with customers during daily deliveries. Operating company-provided straight or box trucks, the driver will handle loading, unloading, and record-keeping duties to ensure accuracy and compliance with various safety regulations, including those from DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.

The role offers a competitive hourly wage of $27.50, with potential quarterly bonuses and a regular Monday through Friday day shift schedule. Airgas values work-life balance and personal growth, providing a supportive team environment that encourages internal mobility. Employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package designed to support their whole lives, including medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, and disability insurance. Support extends to families through up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits, and future security via a 401(k) retirement plan with company matching, tuition assistance, and paid holidays, vacation, and sick time. Benefits begin after 30 days of employment, ensuring early access to health and financial well-being.

Candidates for this role should be comfortable with heavy lifting, hazardous cargo, and frequent physical activity, such as bending. The job requires adherence to strict safety standards under the SAFECOR program and maintaining collaborative safety credentials for customer site access. Previous professional driving experience, safety certification, and the ability to navigate material safety data sheets are essential. Experience with operating forklifts or Moffetts is preferred but not required. This role offers an excellent chance to join a top-tier company where you can build a long-term career with opportunities to grow and thrive while contributing to a culture that respects and honors diversity.
