The Local Delivery Driver (CDL A or B) position based in South San Francisco, CA, offers a dynamic role within Linde Gas & Equipment Inc., focusing on the critical task of product delivery and customer service. This full-time role includes a competitive hourly pay range of $23.88 to $35.03, commensurate with experience, emphasizing the company’s commitment to rewarding skilled professionals. As a local delivery driver, you will play an essential role in maintaining the smooth operation of the distribution process by ensuring timely deliveries to customers, typically averaging 10-12 stops daily. Your responsibilities will extend beyond driving to include handling freight meticulously, accurately completing required paperwork, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Attention to safety and regulations is paramount in this role. You will be responsible for completing hazardous material shipping papers in compliance with DOT regulations, conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, and reporting any maintenance needs in a timely manner. Physical demands are an important consideration, given the need to move and lift items weighing up to 75 pounds, requiring not only physical capability but a strong commitment to workplace safety.

The successful candidate will have at least two years of consecutive driving experience or a recent truck driving certification, hold a valid Class A or B CDL, and either have or be willing to obtain a hazmat endorsement within 60 days of employment. Demonstrating a clean driving record with no preventable accidents or license suspensions in the past two years and no alcohol-related convictions in the last decade is essential, reflecting the company’s high safety standards.
