This role involves delivering products efficiently and safely to customers, ensuring an average of 10-12 stops per day. Key responsibilities include handling freight, completing delivery documentation accurately, and providing exceptional customer service. Drivers are required to count and record product quantities and styles meticulously during deliveries and pickups, adhere to Hazardous Material shipping order protocols in line with DOT regulations, and conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.\n\nThis position also demands vigilance in identifying needed vehicle repairs or maintenance to maintain safety and operational standards. Beyond routine delivery duties, the Local Delivery Driver is expected to foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external customers to help meet business goals and customer needs effectively. Job Requirements
- Be 21 years or older
- Have a valid Class A or B CDL
- Have hazmat endorsement or obtain within 60 days of hire
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent truck driving school certification
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical certificate
- Ability to lift minimum 75 pounds
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a truck driving school
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Must have or obtain hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of DOT hazardous materials regulations
Job Duties
- Deliver products to customers making 10-12 stops per day
- Touch freight, complete paperwork, and provide excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous material shipping order papers according to DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and maintenance
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers
- Continuously build knowledge of Linde’s business operations and success
- Perform other duties as assigned
