The Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) position at Airgas in Columbus, OH plays a critical role in the company’s mission to deliver compressed gas cylinders safely and reliably to local and regional business partners. As an essential ambassador for Airgas, the driver operates company-provided straight or box trucks, managing the flow of cylinders between the branch or plant location and customers. This role demands a candidate with a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License, Medical Examiner’s Card, and preferably a Hazmat Endorsement or the willingness to obtain one. The driver must have at least one year of professional Class A driving experience within the last five years, maintain a clean driving record, and be at least 21 years old. The ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets, safely lift heavy loads routinely, and function independently under pressure to meet deadlines is essential. Moreover, forklift operator certification must be obtained as part of the job requirements.
