The role of Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) based in Kansas City, MO, is a vital position within Linde’s logistics and distribution operations. This role reports to the 1st shift schedule and revolves around efficiently and safely delivering products to customers. The driver typically makes 10 to 12 stops per day, handling freight, completing all required paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. Job Requirements
- Be 21 years or older
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
- No alcohol-related convictions within the last ten years
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School
- Valid Class A CDL
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL or willingness to obtain within 60 days
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
- Proficient in reading and writing English
Job Duties
- Deliver products to customers by making 10-12 stops per day while handling freight and completing paperwork
- Accurately count and record quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous material shipping order papers in compliance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Identify vehicle repair and maintenance needs timely
- Build strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet business goals
- Continuously build knowledge of Linde’s business operations and contribute to organizational growth
