The role of a Local Delivery Driver (CDL A) at Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is critical for the efficient distribution of products to customers throughout the Galesburg, MI area. This full-time, first-shift position operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. The driver will make approximately 10-12 stops daily, handling freight carefully, completing necessary paperwork, and providing outstanding customer service to maintain strong relationships between Linde and its clientele. Deliveries involve not only timely transportation but also accurate recording of product quantities and compliance with safety regulations, including hazardous materials handling consistent with DOT standards. Drivers are responsible for performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, identifying maintenance needs, and ensuring the vehicle’s condition supports safe and efficient operations. Successful candidates will engage with both internal resources and external customers, contributing to the overarching goals of the business and fostering partnerships for continued growth. This position demands physical strength for lifting up to 75 pounds and the capability to push, pull, and move materials safely.

Job Requirements
- Must be 21 years or older
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Hazmat endorsement on CDL or ability to obtain within 60 days
- No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past two years
- No alcohol-related convictions within last ten years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and medical certification
- Ability to lift 75 pounds minimum
- High school diploma or GED
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in reading and writing in English
- Two years of consecutive driving experience or recent certification from a Truck Driving School
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Ability to obtain hazmat endorsement within 60 days of hire if not currently held
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate
- Ability to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 75 pounds
Job Duties
- Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, while touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service
- Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up
- Complete hazardous material shipping orders papers in accordance with DOT regulations
- Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance
- Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives
- Continuously build knowledge on how Linde’s business operates and succeeds, plus other duties as assigned
