This local delivery driver position is based in Lansing, MI, operating from the Empire Filling Industrial location. The role entails working Monday through Friday on a day shift schedule, offering a competitive starting pay of $30.34 per hour. As a Service and Delivery Professional at Airgas, you represent the company as an ambassador, taking pride in the safe and reliable delivery of compressed gas cylinders to local and regional business partners. Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Must have a valid Medical Examiner’s Card
- Hazmat endorsement required or willingness to obtain
- Minimum one year of professional Class A driving experience within the last five years with a clean driving record
- May consider diploma from accredited driving school in lieu of experience
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to read and understand material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally lift over 125 pounds with equipment
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo up to 8 hours
- Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
Job Qualifications

- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines
- Must be able to obtain forklift operator certification
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on a load manifest, obtaining customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them to branch or plant for refilling
- Adhere to all Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
