Job Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years or older
- Clean driving record with no more than two convictions or two at-fault accidents within specified timeframes
- Ability to safely operate company vehicles transporting hazardous materials
- Ability to perform frequent bending and physical tasks
- Strong attention to safety compliance
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License
- Valid Medical Examiner's Card
- Hazmat endorsement or willingness to obtain
- Minimum one year of Class A professional driving experience within the last five years or equivalent driving school diploma with prior experience
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25-75 lbs and occasionally lift over 125 lbs with material handling equipment
- Ability to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Must obtain forklift operator certification
Job Duties
- Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations
- Accurately record deliveries and pick-ups on load manifests and obtain customer signatures
- Collect empty, rejected, or unsold cylinders and return them for refilling
- Adhere strictly to Airgas safety standards and government regulations including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA
- Provide assistance in the warehouse or on the dock as needed
