Job Description

ProDrivers is a reputable transportation company dedicated to providing stability, respect, safety, and fair pay to its employees. Operating primarily in the Garden Grove and Santa Ana, California areas, ProDrivers has established itself as a reliable place for professional drivers seeking consistent schedules and rewarding work environments. With a strong commitment to valuing people, the company fosters a culture where employees are appreciated and their well-being prioritized, reflected in their motto 'People Matter!' ProDrivers operates within the logistics and transportation industry, specializing in running a fleet of box trucks to transport essential goods and products across multiple counties. The company ensures that drivers have access to competitive wages, job security, and schedules that promote work-life balance, such as weekends off and no overnight travel, which adds to the appeal for many drivers.

The role available is for a Class B CDL Driver who will be responsible for operating a 24-foot box truck within designated areas including Orange, Los Angeles, and Riverside counties. This position promises a steady Monday to Friday schedule, starting between 6am and 4pm, with wages ranging from $23 to $25 per hour depending on location. Overtime pay policies include time-and-a-half after 8 hours and double time after 12 hours, providing excellent earning potential for dedicated drivers. The role is predominantly local delivery and pick-up of food products or miscellaneous freight, which requires the driver to handle the freight themselves. This hands-on aspect of the job includes using lift gates and pallet jacks to offload shipments, as well as assisting with lifting up to 50 pounds throughout the day.

Additional responsibilities include providing excellent customer interactions at donor food pick-up sites by completing food donor receipts and ensuring that all freight is handled safely and efficiently. The driver will also be involved in the proper storage and weighing of food products, complying with health codes and safety protocols. Beyond driving, this role offers involvement in the direct distribution of food boxes to low-income participants at member agencies and distribution sites throughout the service area.

The driver will operate various equipment such as forklifts and other manual tools essential for moving heavy objects and maintaining the warehouse environment. Duties extend to the upkeep of vehicles and the cleanliness of warehouse areas, including coolers, freezers, sinks, and the general market area. Typically, the driver will interact with volunteers, partner agencies, donors, and program participants, occasionally directing volunteer work within the Food Bank setting.

ProDrivers offers a comprehensive benefits package for employees and their families, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, driver safety incentives, IRA options, life insurance along with AD&D benefits, and holiday pay. This combination of competitive pay, extensive benefits, and a supportive work environment makes the Class B CDL Driver position an excellent opportunity for professional drivers seeking rewarding local driving roles.
