Recognized as one of the largest suppliers of safety products and ammonia products in the United States, Airgas plays a crucial role across various industries and healthcare sectors. The company employs around 18,000 associates who foster a culture of safety, innovation, sustainability, and customer service excellence. As a subsidiary of Air Liquide—a global powerhouse in gases, technologies, and services present in 60 countries with approximately 66,500 employees—Airgas benefits from worldwide expertise and resources. Serving over 4 million customers and patients globally, Airgas offers a dynamic, inclusive, and empowering work environment where employees are encouraged to share their ideas, take initiatives, and make impactful decisions.
Airgas is currently seeking highly motivated CDL A and B licensed Delivery Drivers to join their Visalia, CA retail location. This role is crucial for the timely and safe delivery of bulk liquids and gases to customers, adhering strictly to company safety policies and compliance standards. The driver will represent Airgas directly, maintaining professional and courteous relationships with customers, and ensuring meticulous delivery and vehicle documentation. This full-time position offers competitive pay ranging between $24 and $26 per hour and a Monday through Friday work schedule from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with responsibilities that may include weekday, after-hour, and weekend on-call deliveries as assigned.
The CDL Delivery Driver position requires commitment to safety and compliance, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and immediate reporting of any accidents or injuries. Drivers conduct vehicle inspections pre- and post-trip, handle necessary maintenance communications, and operate Class A or B trucks with appropriate endorsements, including HAZMAT, which is mandatory. Beyond driving duties, the role demands unloading deliveries, preparing and balancing all delivery paperwork and manifests, assisting in route evaluations, attending safety meetings, and maintaining an orderly truck interior.
Beyond competitive compensation, Airgas supports the whole life of its employees through a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, paid holidays, vacation and sick leave, parental support with up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits, retirements plans with company matching, tuition assistance, and early benefits access after 30 days. Employees can expect a supportive and diverse workplace that embraces unique perspectives and backgrounds, promoting equality, innovation, and engagement in a changing world.
Airgas values diversity and inclusion deeply, aiming to ensure fair opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics. The company is committed to reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities throughout the employment process. Joining Airgas means contributing to a company where your work matters and your career growth is nurtured, providing a fulfilling and stable employment path in the thriving industrial gases sector.
