Operating as one of the largest providers of safety products and a key supplier of ammonia products and process chemicals, Airgas has earned a distinguished reputation in the industry. With a passionate workforce of 18,000 associates, the company prioritizes a culture rooted in safety, customer success, sustainability, and innovation. Empowering its team members to contribute ideas, take initiative, and make impactful decisions, Airgas fosters an inclusive and dynamic work environment.
As a subsidiary of Air Liquide, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for both industry and healthcare, Airgas benefits from a vast international network, with presence in 60 countries and approximately 66,500 employees worldwide. Together, they serve more than 4 million customers and patients, delivering exceptional products and services that meet stringent quality and safety standards.
Currently, Airgas is seeking a Local Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Delivery Driver for its Henderson, Colorado location, specifically to support the filling industrial division. This full-time role offers a competitive starting wage beginning at $30 per hour, with eligibility for quarterly bonuses and referral incentives. The company provides a comprehensive family benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D), and disability insurance, starting just 30 days after employment. Additional supports include up to 14 weeks of paid childbirth benefits, 401(k) retirement plan with company match, tuition assistance, paid holidays, vacation, and sick time, as well as flexible scheduling primarily Monday through Friday with possible alternating weekends on call.
The Local CDL Delivery Driver will operate a Class B Hazmat vehicle responsible for delivering compressed and liquid gas cylinders and hardgoods along designated routes. The position requires collecting empty cylinders from customers, ensuring accurate transaction recording and obtaining necessary signatures, and responding promptly to customer inquiries to maintain high satisfaction levels. Drivers will be responsible for safely loading and unloading goods while conducting thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle condition. Maintaining a professional appearance and vehicle upkeep are key responsibilities.
This role demands a high level of physical ability and stamina, involving routine lifting of weights ranging from 25 to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 125 pounds with assistance of material handling equipment. The driver will be frequently bending, walking, standing, and driving hazardous cargo for up to eight hours a day.
As a pivotal customer ambassador, the driver represents Airgas's commitment to excellent service by managing established delivery routes, handling customer orders, resolving service complaints, and nurturing strong customer relationships. Safety, efficiency, independence, and excellent time management are critical components of success in this role. Candidates must be able to read and comprehend material safety data sheets and must maintain a clean motor vehicle record while being at least 21 years of age.
The organization is committed to diversity and equal opportunity, encouraging applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to foster an equitable and supportive workplace. Joining Airgas means becoming part of a global leader dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and meaningful career growth in the industrial gas supply sector.
