Based in Denver/Commerce City, Colorado, Airgas offers a compelling role for a Local CDL B Driver focused on dry-ice logistics. This position offers a starting wage of $28 per hour and follows a Monday to Friday schedule with a typical start time between 4 am and 5 am and occasional weekend support. Drivers usually work an average of 45 to 48 hours per week. The Local CDL B Driver will primarily manage the delivery of dry ice across a service area that ranges geographically from Idaho Springs to Parker, Pueblo to Bennett, and other surrounding areas. This role requires handling approximately 8 to 9 customer connections daily, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries, maintaining vehicle health through pre and post-trip inspections, and adhering strictly to DOT and OSHA regulations. The position also involves utilizing warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading, verifying delivery accuracy with customers, and returning empty dry ice boxes to designated locations.
