The role of a Class A Truck Driver at MSI is integral to the company's operations, focusing on delivering merchandise such as countertop and flooring materials safely and efficiently to various customer locations. This full-time, entry-level position offers a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the benefit of being home daily. Compensation ranges from $25.75 to $28.75 per hour, including overtime paid at 1.5 times the base rate. Annual earnings typically range from $73,900 to $93,100 or more, depending on experience, overtime, and bonuses. The driver will be responsible for multiple daily stops, ensuring the safe loading, unloading, and securing of cargo using blocks, ties, straps, chains, and binders. Maintaining a constant state of alertness and operating vehicles safely at all times is critical, along with demonstrating patience and professionalism towards fellow road users. Strong verbal and written communication skills are important as the role involves interpreting bills of lading and picking sheets, and potentially using an iPad or tablet to assist with these duties. The role also requires physical strength and agility, including the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy loads, work at various heights, and perform tasks involving bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing ladders. This is a safety-sensitive position, with an emphasis on compliance with transportation regulations and DOT requirements. Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A driver’s license
  • Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience with heavy-duty vehicles
  • Comfortable with making local deliveries with multiple stops
  • Successful completion of driving test and DOT pre-employment requirements
  • Safety-minded with proficiency in maintaining legal and accurate logbook
  • Capable of understanding and interpreting bill of lading and picking sheets
  • Previous experience utilizing an iPad or tablet preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Able to generate 137lbs of vertical push/pull force
  • Able to lift and transfer 55lbs
  • Able to carry at least 30lbs the length of the truck bed
  • Able to ascend and descend multiple-rung ladder
  • Able to frequently bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and/or crouch
  • Able to work at elevated height of 72 inches and lowered height of 6 inches while assembling and disassembling securing equipment
  • This is a safety-sensitive position

Job Qualifications
