Job Description
TCW, also known as Transportation Corporation of America, is a leading company in the logistics and trucking industry with a strong commitment to both employee welfare and operational excellence. As a reputable regional carrier, TCW offers a diverse range of freight transportation services across multiple states, with strategically located terminals in key cities such as Atlanta GA, Birmingham AL, Charleston SC, Charlotte NC, Columbia SC, Dalton GA, Jackson MS, Memphis TN, Nashville TN, Savannah GA, and Spartanburg SC. The company holds a distinguished reputation for providing reliable delivery services while maintaining a supportive and rewarding work environment for its drivers.
The driving position at TCW focuses on providing local routes with a schedule designed for quality of life, including a consistent five-day workweek with night shifts that allow drivers to be home daily. This role is ideal for drivers who value stability, safety, and excellent compensation, coupled with robust benefits. The weekly pay range for this position averages between $1,300 and $1,600, reflecting TCW's commitment to offering competitive wages in the industry. Drivers are paid hourly as well as mileage, ensuring fair compensation for both effort and distance traveled.
Beyond the paycheck, TCW understands the importance of comprehensive benefits for the well-being and financial security of its employees. Drivers are entitled to nine paid holidays as well as paid vacation time, reinforcing the company’s dedication to work-life balance. Additionally, TCW offers full benefits that encompass health insurance, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accident, and critical illness insurance plans, designed to protect drivers and their families no matter what life brings.
A unique and invaluable advantage offered to TCW drivers is participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This program allows drivers to own a stake in the company, sharing in the long-term financial success of TCW. The opportunity for stock ownership empowers employees to secure their futures and benefit directly from the company's growth and profitability. Alongside the ESOP, TCW provides a 401(k) retirement plan that includes matching contributions and profit sharing, ensuring that employees have strong options for retirement savings.
The ideal candidate for this driving role must live within 50 miles of one of the company’s terminals to qualify for this local driving opportunity. TCW places a high priority on safety and responsible driving, requiring drivers to have a Class A CDL with at least 18 months of verifiable driving experience. The company also enforces strict safety standards by disqualifying candidates with serious traffic violations in the past five years or DUI/DWI offenses within the last ten years.
By joining TCW, drivers can expect a stable, well-compensated job with excellent benefits, a home-daily schedule, and the rare advantage of becoming a co-owner in the company. The culture at TCW is founded on respect, loyalty, and mutual success, making it an exceptional place for professional truck drivers who seek more than just a paycheck. With terminals conveniently located throughout the Southeast United States, TCW drivers enjoy the balance of local routes without compromising on financial or personal well-being.
