FreshPoint is currently seeking dedicated and motivated CDL-A and CDL-B local drivers to join their Hartford team. This position offers a unique opportunity for drivers to enjoy home daily routes, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule with a three-day workweek. The compensation package is competitive, featuring an average minimum annual salary of $65,000, with the potential to earn upwards of $78,000 based on performance and experience. As a FreshPoint local driver, you will play a crucial role in the company's efficient distribution network by running daily routes with multiple stops. The role requires you to safely and efficiently load packages onto hand trucks, unload products at customer locations, and maintain timely delivery schedules as assigned by the Transportation Department Manager. FreshPoint operates a cross-dock model where drivers pick up fully loaded trucks from nightly deliveries and return empty trucks upon route completion. Occasionally, you may assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and other duties as assigned to maintain smooth operations.

This role demands physical stamina as it involves frequent lifting (ranging from 1 to 75 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds), pushing, transporting goods in various weather conditions, and performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections to adhere to Department of Transportation regulations. You must demonstrate excellent customer service skills by effectively handling customer interactions, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction at every delivery point. The position offers a structured work schedule, with shifts covering Monday, Friday, and Saturday.
