Job Description

Lazer Logistics is a prominent and innovative logistics company that specializes in providing transportation and supply chain management solutions tailored to meet the dynamic needs of various industries. Known for its commitment to operational excellence and safety, Lazer Logistics offers a comprehensive range of services including dedicated contract services, outsourcing, and supply chain solutions. The company emphasizes a customer-focused approach and utilizes advanced logistics technologies to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. With a widespread presence and a dedication to employee well-being, Lazer Logistics stands out as an employer of choice for professionals seeking stability and career growth in the logistics sector.

As a Local Yard Driver with Lazer Logistics, you will experience one of the most consistent and predictable CDL driving roles available in the industry. This position is designed for drivers who prefer working within a fixed location rather than extensive highway or multi-stop routes. The role focuses exclusively on moving trailers within a designated yard, thereby eliminating the challenges associated with traffic, long routes, and multiple delivery stops. You will enjoy a predictable schedule that allows you to be home daily, with clear start and end times for your shifts. This position is ideal for drivers who value safety, routine, and a controlled working environment.

The Local Yard Driver role offers steady, repeatable work that enhances day-to-day job satisfaction without the stress of traditional freight hauling. Because the work site is consistent, drivers can build familiarity and confidence navigating the yard, ensuring efficient trailer movements and overall operational flow. This role also comes with a competitive pay structure starting at $21.50 per hour plus a $1.00 shift differential, with opportunities for overtime after 40 hours. In addition, Lazer Logistics provides a full benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, holidays, disability coverage, and an employee assistance program. Drivers also have access to an employee ownership program and optional insurances such as pet and voluntary coverage. Referral bonuses further underscore the company's commitment to building a strong, motivated workforce.

As part of your responsibilities, you will operate company trucks and trailers safely within the yard, consistently adhere to Lazer Logistics’ guidelines and all regulatory requirements, and perform routine vehicle inspections to maintain safety standards. Effective communication with dispatchers, team members, customers, and third-party vendors is crucial for smooth operations. Accurate logging of driving hours, routes, and any incidents is also required. The role demands physical stamina for entering and exiting trucks throughout the shift, as well as an ability to work under various weather conditions. If you are a Class A CDL driver looking for a position that offers safety, stability, and a better quality of life, this Local Yard Driver opportunity at Lazer Logistics is an excellent fit.
