Job Description
Lazer Logistics is a premier logistics and transportation company specializing in innovative solutions for supply chain management. With an emphasis on technology-driven efficiency and customer satisfaction, Lazer Logistics operates across multiple locations, providing reliable freight and yard management services. The company is well-regarded for fostering a supportive and employee-centric work environment, promoting consistency, safety, and growth opportunities for its team members.
As a Local Yard Driver with Lazer Logistics, you will work within a single, controlled location throughout your shift, handling trailer movements inside the yard rather than driving on roads or highways. This means no traffic to contend with, no complicated multi-stop routes, and no long-distance hauls. You focus entirely on safely operating company vehicles and moving trailers within the yard during predictable working hours. This position is ideal for CDL drivers seeking a consistent, reliable, and straightforward role. You will appreciate the routine and predictability it offers, with a schedule that allows you to be home daily and eliminates the stress associated with highway traffic and customer deliveries. The job provides a steady income with hourly wages that start at $21.50 plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential, and the possibility of overtime after 40 hours a week.
The role also features numerous benefits, including a comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance package, paid time off, holidays, a 401(k) plan with company match, short- and long-term disability insurance, and participation in an Employee Assistance Program. Employees can also take advantage of an Employee Ownership Program, optional pet insurance, and other voluntary insurance options. With weekly pay and referral bonuses of up to $2,000, this position offers financial incentives alongside a stable work environment.
Working at Lazer Logistics as a Local Yard Driver means being part of a growth-oriented company that values safety, communication, and teamwork. Your daily responsibilities will include operating company trucks and trailers safely according to CDL regulations, performing routine vehicle safety inspections, and maintaining clear communication with dispatchers, customers, and teammates. You will document driving logs, ensure adherence to safety policies, and contribute to efficient yard operations. The company supports a culture of respect and equal opportunity, making it an encouraging place to build your career in the transportation and logistics industry.
