Job Description

Our client is one of the world\'s largest logistics companies, known for providing reliable, efficient, and professional transportation solutions. Based in Sandston, Virginia, this company stands out in the logistics industry for its commitment to safety, quality, and driver satisfaction. With a focus on modern operations and state-of-the-art equipment, the company values its employees and offers competitive compensation packages along with comprehensive benefits from day one. This is a direct hire position offering a local route type that ensures drivers are home daily, promoting work-life balance and stability. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing predictable hours and consistent pay.

The role is for a Local CDL A Driver specializing in shuttle operations, primarily moving 53-foot trailers within local areas. Drivers will handle no-touch freight, which means they do not physically handle the cargo itself but are responsible for the safe transportation and movement of trailers in and out of loading areas. This position requires at least six months of recent, verifiable CDL A driving experience and a valid Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card. Drivers must have experience with automatic transmission vehicles and a clean driving record for the past two years.

Compensation for this position is competitive, with a base pay of $31.25 per hour and the opportunity for overtime pay beyond 40 hours per week. Pay increases are consistent, rewarding experienced and reliable drivers for their dedication and professionalism. Drivers will have access to late-model, well-maintained equipment, ensuring a comfortable and safe driving experience. This role emphasizes safety, compliance with DOT requirements, and maintaining accurate logs to ensure that all regulatory guidelines are met. Professionalism and reliability are key traits sought in candidates to maintain the company\'s high operational standards.

The role goes beyond driving, involving pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain equipment safety and functionality, securing loads properly, and verifying the condition of trailers. The company supports its drivers with full benefits starting from day one, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, disability coverage, and a 401(k) plan with company match. Paid time off and paid holidays are provided, promoting a healthy work-life balance. The overall environment fosters a safety-first culture that prioritizes driver well-being, stability, and career growth.

This position is ideal for CDL A drivers seeking a stable local driving job with home-daily schedules, competitive pay, and comprehensive benefits within a reputable and large logistics company. Applicants who meet the required qualifications and have a passion for driving safely and professionally are encouraged to apply today. A recruiter will reach out to qualified candidates to guide them through the application process and discuss next steps in detail.
